Many candidates come to us with experience booking vacations for themselves or family and friends, but what sets this program apart is that teaches you how to book travel and earn TOP commissions. This course will train you to sell destinations all over the world and educate you about the top vendors and partners in the travel industry.

How It Works will prepare you to work as a full or part time inside sales agent at a local travel agency or to work from home and build your own client base and travel business. The home-based travel industry is fast growing and allows you the flexibility to be your own boss, work on your own schedule and balance work and family to build a successful business. You will learn all about the top destinations that agents sell, the top travel vendors and hotels partners available, how to compete with online travel agencies and more.

Course Details

This Training Program will teach you all you need to know to start a successful travel career. The course will be comprised of 4 training modules.

• All Inclusive Vacations
• Hawaii, Disney and other US Destinations
• Cruise Vacations
• Europe & Beyond

Some modules will take longer than others, but the first four modules are designed to be completed in about 6 months. This is a self paced program, mostly online, but there will be opportunities for live training with the program director, Trish Hinds.

Upon completion of Module #1, qualified graduates who are looking to build their own travel business will be offered a temporary host commission based contract with creator Trish Hinds’ host agency, The Travel Gals. At that time you will be able to start selling all inclusive travel while you finish the other modules. You will also get the following bonus modules to help kickstart your travel business.

If your goal is to get a full time salaried position inside a local agency, job placement assistance is given once all 4 travel modules are completed.

Cost Of The Program

Based on the time requirements and potential earning for each module, there will be a separate cost for each, or you can sign up for the entire program at a discount rate.

If you sign up for the entire program and pay in advance, you will receive a discounted rate of $1995. Below are the rates per module if purchased separately and the approximate time commitment involved.

• All Inclusive Vacations - $999 (approx. 9 weeks)
• Hawaii, Disney and other US Destinations - $499 (approx. 6 weeks)
• Cruise Vacations - $499 (approx. 6 weeks)
• Europe & Beyond - $499 (approx. 6 weeks)

For the full program track, $999 is due up front with additional payments of $498 due at the 2 month and 4 month mark from the start of your program. If you choose to just complete 1 or 2 modules, full payment is due at the start of each module.

There is a 30-day money back guarantee of the initial deposit from the date a training agreement is signed. If after that 30-day period you decide the program is not a good fit for you, any paid fees are nonrefundable but future payments will be waived.

Once you have completed the application, been accepted into the program and paid your initial fees, you will receive an e-mail from our Training Coordinator with information on your start date. You will also receive your training binder as well as a password to access our online training program. At that time you are encouraged to set aside approximately 10-20 hours per week to complete the trainings and study for your quizzes.

There are certain requirements to graduate as well as systems requirements for the program.

Program requirements for graduation include:

• Successful completion of all online training programs and modules
• Successful completion of all quizzes and final exam
• Successful completion of all practice quotes and preparation for working with clients
• Successful completion of Marketing Plan to outline how you plan to build your business (for host agents)

Deadlines will be established to keep you on course and the first 4 travel modules of the program will need to be completed in 9 months or less.

System Requirements: This program is compatible with the Windows XP and later operating systems and IE 7 and later browsers. This course can be taken on either a Mac or a PC, however in the past Mac’s have presented some challenges for certain online programs. Students will need to have an Internet connection and email capabilities. Microsoft Word and Excel will also be required. Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Acrobat Reader are required for this course.

You will be given a training binder as well as travel brochures from various vendors. Most importantly, you will also have access to our online training program at with videos, online training programs from vendors, etc.

Benefits Of The Program

Many applicants are interested in travel career opportunities, but sometimes their perception can be quite different than the reality of the job. You may have friends in travel that you see posting lots of their pictures on Facebook and it may seem like they are traveling all the time. This program is not a “get rich quick” scheme or a ticket to unlimited travel. Travel as a career can be fun and exciting with the right combination of training, hard work and sales success. You can eventually earn free hotel stays, discounted airfare, discounted park tickets, tour options and more. Our agents travel on average 3-4 times per year, combining both educational in resort training and personal vacations.

The perks and discounts that you can qualify for are in direct correlation to your success in marketing your business, selling vacations and building a client base. Minimum requirements for travel benefits typically start at $5,000 in commissions earned per year. The average commission is approximately $250 per trip, and you don’t get paid until the client travels, so it can take a year or so to establish a steady paycheck and start to earn those perks. However, after 1-2 years you can have a successful full time travel business where you work from home, set your own hours and enjoy the perks and benefits of working for yourself!

FAM or familiarization trips are offered throughout the year by our vendors to give you the opportunity to travel to the destinations that we sell and learn about our product. These are affordable options (usually under $500 with airfare and everything) that you will want to consider to help you grow in your knowledge and comfort of selling travel.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Can I register for this program if I don’t live in the St. Louis area?
Since the program is online, you can access this training from anywhere. We are currently seeking qualified applicants from around the US so we would love to connect with clients in YOUR area.

When can I start the program?
The program is ongoing, so if you are interested in beginning the program, you can start at any time.

How much time will I need to dedicate to this program?
We estimate that you will need approximately 10-20 hours per week to complete the program. You are welcome to do more than that to speed up your potential toward earning commissions as an agent.

Which modules represent the most earning potential?
The All Inclusive module definitely represents the most earning potential. We work with the top travel wholesalers like Funjet Vacations and Apple Vacations and have maximized our commission with each partner.

What if I don’t have enough time to complete the program in 9 months?
If you find that you can’t complete the program in 9 months, this is probably not going to be the career for you and you will most likely not successfully graduate the program.  Past experience has shown that those students with full time jobs who can’t commit to the minimum time requirements of the program do not typically go on to make successful agents.

Do I have to purchase any additional materials or is there additional cost for the program?
No additional books or texts are required, but you are always welcome to supplement your education with those items. You will be given the opportunity to take a FAM (familiarization) trip to Cancun to see some hotels first hand and learn about the most popular destination that we sell. Cost for this is usually approximately $300-$500/person for airfare, all inclusive hotel accommodations, transportation, tips and all site inspections.

What happens when I complete the program? Am I guaranteed a job?
Once you have completed the program requirements you will be issued a certificate of Graduation and an offer of a 1 year commission based probationary contract with The Travel Gals. If you prefer to find an agency in your area to work for, we will offer job placement assistance.
